Damian Kolakowski, Deputy Director of the Department of Infrastructure and Environment of the Upper Silesian-Zagłębowska Metropolis, has been professionally involved with local government units for 17 years. Graduate of various degrees and types of studies at the University of Economics in Katowice, the University of Silesia in Katowice, the Upper Silesian Academy of Entrepreneurship in Chorzów, the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, the School of Business in Dąbrowa Górnicza. Practitioner, as a long-time employee and then Head of the Department of Municipal Economy of the Siemianowice Śląskie City Hall, he was responsible, among other things, for the implementation of the municipal waste management system or the development of blue-green infrastructure in the City.
