Chairwoman of the Parliamentary Group on Zero-Carbon Economy and the European Green Deal

Member of the Polish Parliament. Chairwoman of the Parliamentary Group on Zero-Carbon Economy and the European Green Deal. Former vice-president of the Council of Ministers. From November 15, 2019 to October 6, 2020 – Minister of Development. Previously – from January 9, 2018. – Minister of Entrepreneurship and Technology. And since November 27, 2015.  – Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Development.
She was responsible for the Economy, Construction and Tourism departments. As Minister of Development, she co-created the Anti-Crisis Shield, which aims to prevent the negative effects of the coronavirus epidemic on the Polish economy and labor market.
As Minister of Entrepreneurship and Technology, she carried out a whole series of business facilitation measures, such as the new Public Procurement Law, Small ZUS, Small ZUS Plus, the law on succession management, the SME Package, the law against payment bottlenecks, the Friendly Law Package and the law introducing the Polish Investment Zone, among others. During her term, the Business Constitution also came into force.
She undertook and supported measures to combat smog and promote RES, including the Clean Air Program and the Energy Plus program. As well as pro-innovation activities, such as the R&D tax credit, IP Box, the Start in Poland program, and the Future Industry Platform.
A graduate of the Institute of Political Science at Jagiellonian University. At the Faculty of International and Political Studies of the Jagiellonian University, she opened her doctoral dissertation. She is a scholarship holder of Oxford University and a program of the American Council on Germany, Dräger Foundation, ZEIT-Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius. Since 2003, she has been affiliated with the Rev. J. Tischner European School in Cracow.
From 1999 to 2002 she worked at the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.
In 2009. – Manager of the Museum of the People’s Republic of Poland in Cracow. Social activist, author of many scientific publications. She was president of the Better Poland Foundation. She speaks English, German and French.
Married, she has three sons.
