D. in economics, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of WSE Benchmark S.A. and Deputy Director of the Information Products and Indicators Development Department at the Warsaw Stock Exchange responsible for the implementation of ESG strategy for the capital market. In 2009, he was responsible for launching the first index of socially responsible companies in Central Europe – RESPECT Index. In 2013, on his initiative, the WSE became the eighth stock exchange in the world to join the United Nations Sustainable Stock Exchanges initiative. And in 2019, he was responsible for the introduction of the WIG-ESG index – the first ESG benchmark for a national investment fund. Recently, he coordinated the publication of the first ESG guide for companies on the Polish market: “ESG Reporting Guidelines. Guide for Companies Listed on the WSE” and the WSE Group ESG Strategy.
He has been involved in ESG issues for many years, among others as a member of the non-financial reporting team of the Ministry of Finance, the working group for sustainable finance of the SRRK, and a member of the chapter of the Responsible Business Forum’s competition for Sustainability Reports.
In addition, he is the author and co-author of reports, articles and scientific studies on the importance of ESG issues in the capital market, including the only study on the Polish capital market “Investment decisions and corporate social responsibility”.
