MARIUSZ SOCHA

National Geological Institute - National Research Institute

Graduate of the Faculty of Geology at the University of Warsaw. In 2008, at the University of Warsaw, he received a doctoral degree in Earth sciences in the field of geology (title of his dissertation “Geoenvironmental determinants of the use of thermal water energy of the Paleogene-Mesozoic Podhale reservoir”).

 

His previous professional experience is almost entirely related to research work in projects carried out by the National Geological Institute – National Research Institute.

Since 2017, he has been the Head of the Laboratory of Water Recognized as Minerals in the Department of Reservoir and Economic Geology. His main professional interests are the analysis of profitability of geothermal investments and geological risk management in geothermal projects. Speaker and participant in numerous meetings with representatives of local government units interested in thermal water development.  Author of numerous publications on broadly understood economics and geological risk in geothermal projects.

He has also been involved in local government and community work for many years.
